As most people said, It's best to judge the movie yourself, or check the audience rating for RT when it comes out.
I remember when Ghostbusters 2016 happened and how critics liked it, only because of the "Strong Female Character" and how "progressive" it is, but the audience hated it because it didn't respect the franchise and just seen as a cheap cash in. In the end, word of mouth prevails.
