Dont get me wrong they both are to blame in the end like you said. I am just approaching this under the impression that Toei enforced Saban that both team footages get 50/50 screentime which is ridiculous. They should have just focused on one source material be it Gosei or Gokai is what I meant to say if that thing about Toei requesting both shows to be used is true.
Toei should not have told Saban to catch two birds with one stone.
