2b. if the above is true does that mean they're could be an entire earth in alternate timeline where the weeping angels have consumed every human thru various pictures? and would that make for a cool episode of the doctor having to explore a planet of nothing but weeping angels or alternatively a single weeping angel because they ultimately consumed each other due to hunger?
3. Are weeping angels sapient or simply sentient? as in do they have culture and language or are they just like animals looking for their next meal?
1. The Eleventh Doctor states that paradoxes can taint/poison their food supply, so I believe it can kill them. However a weak one managed to survive until the end of the Angels Take Manhattan.
2. Yes. The picture of of an Weeping Angel is itself a Weeping Angel
2.b. quite possibly yes. That could be possible and would be interesting to see.
3. This is a hard one. They're described as quantum locked humanoids. They somehow communicate with one another and as shown in The Time of Angels/Flesh and Stone, they can take the voice of a victim. I would say they're more like animals since most of them do hunt their victims. I would say sapient since they are living creatures and not just sentient statues, the statue part is just a defence mechanism.
