In True Ending's trailers:
- Riders present standing together are Ex-Aid, Brave, Snipe, Genm, Para-DX, and Lazer Turbo. I'm mainly only noting this because Para-DX wasn't an alley when this clip was first shown.

- Lazer has a doctor's coat in the movie. He did not get that until this episode.

-Reset was introduced in episode 40, right after Para-DX joined Ex-Aid and as the promotions for the move started to gear up and reveal more about the story of the movie. Many believe this is the splitting point, but the only thing to change before this point is Para-DX's alliances. There are many loose plot threads True Ending would need to address.

-Graphite is no where to be found in these trailers. If the Reset was the split point, then he would be alive and a loose plot thread the movie doesn't really have time for.

- Some trailers mention that Gemn only has one life left. At the end of this episode, Genm has 4 lives left. After the Reset he had about 70-80 lives (can't remember the exact number, might've been all of them came back). That doesn't add up unless the first 15 minutes of the movie is killing him a bunch (and again, time).

- The newest trailer says that with the final episode "The meaning of True Ending will be revealed." That seems odd to say if the final episode doesn't set up the movie.

Here's my theory: The end of the show will have a Reset and lead into True Ending. This Reset will undo only the final episode. This makes the current episodes, the end of the show, and the movie all important.

I was checking the Kamen Rider wiki recently and the placement for True Ending has been changed "set one year after the TV series' last episode". Granted, it is a wiki and almost anyone can change it but the only source for this was an interview with Daichi Miura, who sings Ex-Aid's opening theme song and the theme song for True Ending, and he states that the movie is set a year after the show's last episode. Granted, I dont know Japanese, had to rely on Chrome's translation, and Muira's only singing the theme and has no connection to the script/story, but if this is true, it could be similar to games/stories such as Asura's Wrath where there is the normal ending but through paid dlc (or in this case, a film), it isn't truly over and there is more to the story that leads to the True Ending.

As far as we know, no one except Masamune knows of Johnny Maxima and its clear that Johnny is setting up the events of True Ending while the main story is going on. With how many episodes the series has left and with one or two being a Build crossover, I doubt that they could cram in the Johnny Maxima sub-plot into the series right now, so True Ending will explore this.

This could clear the debates about whether True Ending is an alternate ending or not.
