Jessica Jones season 2. Finished it this morning. It was certainly different.

But I really liked it. There was no real villain (you could probably argue for Alisa or even Trish), but that was cool with me. Everyone had their demons and they had to deal with them, for better or worse.

Jess I think ends in a good place. She went through hell again, but seems like she knows what she was doing wrong and is trying to move on. Don't look forward to her inevitable larger conflict with Trish though.

Likewise with Malcolm, glad to see he's in a good place at the end. I hated seeing he substituted one addiction for another, and I still don't like the guy he's working with now (especially partnering with Jeri). But he's developed so much and it's great.

Fuck Jeri. Didn't like her subplot and this reminded me how horrible she is, which I had actually forgotten after her small appearances in the other shows.

And Trish... Oh man, Trish. We got Hellcat I guess. But she's still totally an addict and kind of a bitch now. I don't disagree with her actions at the end necessarily - Alisa couldn't be controlled despite what Jess thought - but it also didn't have to be her... and her path to getting powers was not her really trying to be a hero, just an extension of her addictive and jealous tendencies. Hope she can get redeemed later, though it'll be hard.
