The chances of the series going animated is nearly impossible. spin-off animated series may happen, but During Operation Overdrive disney repeatedly tried to cancel the live-action and make the series go animated but toei wouldn't let them, and toei aren't exactly known for changing their minds. chances are the series will remain live-action with a possible animated spin-off or animated movie. saban did somehow manage to convince toei to allow a animated movie but that was scrapped, a trailer was leaked online.

as for the movies, as i've said above an animated movie would not be a surprise, but a continuation from the recent movie is unlikely but a reboot would be something Hasbro probably would do.
