I rather like Genius, its all shiny and colorful and quite unique looking. Personally speaking, this episode felt less like filler than some of the other episodes, although I would still hesitate to call any episodes from this show filler at all. I really liked how they managed to establish that Katsuragi and Sento both have some surprising similarities, but also that they are still their own people too. Speaking of some people disliking Banjou's joke at the beginning of the episode, I think it was intentionally awkward and Banjou was just trying to ease the tension. He mentions later that things get too gloomy without Sento around later after all.

I can help but be amused that seeing Banjou lying on the ground after being beaten to a bloody pulp is what triggered Sento's memories to come back. It made it feel like the strongest thing Sento associated Banjou with was getting beaten up.
