Like, unless you count the crystals on him being a light blue which would literally be called "water color" (水色) in Japanese? Other than that I've got nothing. I honestly think they just wanted to use Ginga to balance out the old-school factor of Taro.

Yeah, that's about where I am with R/B right now. It's not blowing me away just yet, but I think that after a show about a depressed space hobo (sorry Gai) and a show about a kid confronting his fate as the son of the most evil guy in the universe, an attempt to inject a bit more lightheartedness than usual into Ultraman is entirely warranted.
