Personally, I went through them all in order and it does make the team-up movies more interesting. That said, if you think a show looks really cool and you want to watch it before one that doesn't, go with your gut.

Kabuto really feels like it makes some huge missteps in the latter half to me at least.

Kabuto's story got hit really hard when Hiyori's actress got sick. You can definitely tell that things got derailed pretty badly.
