Wrapped up Decade yesterday. My opinion didn't change a lot by the end. It's a very mixed bag of a series. I didn't hate it, though it may only be because I had more than ample warning of its shortcomings. Still, as an episodic show I think it was watchable enough. Most of that is probably owed to Tsukasa's charisma, though inconsistent characterization plagued him.

Didn't really hate the AR shit, outside of Amazon, much either. The World of Amazon is pretty horrid. Really, I think there was an unfortunate and sizeable drop of quality and the blatant lack of purpose shot up to eleven as soon as the Heisei AR worlds stopped. And some really weird moves. Like, you can't make such a big deal out of Kasumi no Joe and then not even have his actor come back to voice someone. He's a pretty prolific va so there was nothing stopping them, it's just weird.

And that ending...Definitely not the best ending a series has had.

Also the movie is unfathomably dumb.

We'll see how Movie War 2010 "wraps up" this stuff. And to that purpose, I'm now on my penultimate series, W. I'm 5 episodes in. I don't like Akiko, but Shotaro is pretty cool. I really like the idea behind the setting too, being focused on a specific town in Fuuto. I don't think any other series has quite focused on their location in quite the same way.
