Sometimes I feel worry about talking about these shows around other people to avoid them from laughing at me or finding it strange.
In High School, people found out that I was still watching Power Rangers and other shows on Cartoon Network, Disney, Nick and ABC Family that they laugh at me. People would go up to me and be like "You are a total loser for liking kiddie shows" and "You won't be getting laid if they see your Power Rangers & Transformers collection".

It certainly depends on the people you surround yourself with, though. If your friends would raise an eyebrow at your first mentioning you like these things then that's one thing, but it would be another if they were openly mocking you. You're fine to enjoy whatever you want and people you like to associate with shouldn't be shaming you for that.

I also agree! I'm a solid ten-years removed from High School Graduation, and I was scared to death of letting everyone know such things! I think what happened was they did know on a minute level and then I became more reserved! In the years since then, the live-action Marvel and Transformers material has become commonplace, and "getting laid" is slowly going out of vogue for more than one reason, and even then the acceptance of all things "nerd" has become a large draw, even from people you wouldn't completely expect it from! As one gets older, one tends to recognize who they are and their commitment to who they are! I'll admit, some of the elements of our childhoods are now more cringe-worthy than they used to be, but we still get what we can out of it!
Star Wars "Clone Wars" is getting a revival, and I highly doubt that a bunch of clamoring children were the ONLY reason for that one!
Marvel is big-money, A-list Actors!!! Transformers also has something on that, but to a lesser extent because the Bay-verse is the BAY-VERSE!!!
The massive selection of comics and their characters and stories have made them fashionable! A guy I know would take "SAGA" to work and his co-workers would read them and then start asking questions, until my friend started feeling like a drug dealer because they would want to know more or when a new copy was out!
P.R. has a also gotten slightly more HUMAN, more REAL, and slightly more DARK with their comics! Boom! has effectively made the property more of a draw than was believed possible a mere ten years ago!
My college campus was advertising Pokemon Go! when it first came out!
The old "rules" don't matter as much, and even if they do, "Who cares?"
May seem childish, to you on some level and to others on a greater level, but don't let it get to you! If they think you will not have a meaningful relationship BECAUSE of that, don't let that get to you either! I don't have anyone in my life as of yet, but if I do, I hope that someone will be receptive to such likes; an equal "nerd"!
