The whole physics defying our general knowledge thing again as an excuse. It's like the goseigreen/blackranger thing in megaforce. It's better to not over think a kids show and go psychological /philosophical. I wonder there will be Time travel paradox where geiz and tsukiyomi along with the time jackers is what created zio shift in personality. I don't see the show going back to classic Heisei with crazy dramatic mental breakdown especially the opening is very digimon/yugioh like.
