I don’t know, maybe it’s because I remember Makai no Hana, where Raiga sometimes wouldn’t appear until the last five minutes, but this episode didn’t bother me too much. It actually reminded me a bit of Karen Rider 555 with the insanely over-the-top bullying. I was fully expecting a standard dark Garo ending, which is why I think the swerve worked so well: we’ve seen these kinds of characters and this type of story before, so it’s all the more noteworthy when it goes somewhere different.

I wasn’t particularly hyped for this show before it aired, but it really has my curiosity piqued now. What happened to that Horror and what happened to Jinga when it bit him?
