Domestic toy sales numbers have been expected to decline for a bit due to other factors(though other domestic royalties forms have increased). But the shows really aren't going away anytime soon as other revenue draws are still sustaining them far more than anyone seems to factor in. Domestic market decline isn't isolated to only Sentai in that regard. But licensing revenues have actively increased as the market reach increased. This doom and gloom is really unneeded, and sadly predictable.
Most of the licensing money, which usually results in the group total doubling the toy sales, comes from Power Rangers though. If you look at Kamen Rider's financial results for Bandai, which doesn't have something like Power Rangers to distribute the brand worldwide, the group total doesn't add much on top of the toys. Bandai now is losing the Power Rangers license, so we'll likely see the group totals for Sentai behaving much closer to Kamen Riders' now, with only a small boost coming from general licensing. Yet again, this is for Bandai's numbers, they're the main sponsor, but not the actual owners of Super Sentai, that's Toei. However, if Bandai pulls out due to decreased revenue, Super Sentai is basically dead, at least as a tv show, since they're the main sponsors and the show nowadays survives basically due to them considering how the tv ratings are so low they're basically irrelevant.
