i haven't caught up with the series in a bit but reading things i can't help but think that nobody really likes toku anymore, or at least what toku has become

i think we're in another 80s period for toku where its just kind of a thing that's here and it never really changes. i'm a big fan of standard toku formula but toei really does need to figure out how to do something truly creative instead of just sticking to the same things over and over again

i think we just need stronger villains, but villains don't sell well in japan so nobody really puts any real effort into them i guess
