Yup! I think it's interesting to examine attitudes and responses to one culture's use of politics in its art by another culture when one or the other likely wouldn't know - beyond large, worldwide-effecting things difficult to ignore - about the other's politics, and see what the reader takes away from the writer. For me there's a lot something like - as per your example - Build says about the state of the world, but it's coming from someone who for all I know knows absolutely nothing about the politics most relevant to me. And that isn't even going into parallels and subconsciousness and yadda yadda.
