Plus, Ryuki is arguably the series that changed Kamen Rider forever. None of the gimmicks, and just Rider gimmicks but also Super Sentai and Ultraman wouldn't exist if it weren't for Ryuki so I guess Toei wanted to pay tribute to their biggest game changer.

Pretty sure Zi-O wasn't saying Episode Final was canon, but specifically saying the opposite. Time Jacker kid, Uhr or however you spell it, said that Ryuga was from "An alternate world long gone" that couldn't be reached through time travel, comparing it to a broken mirror. I'm 99% certain that was referring to Episode Final having been an alternate timeline that was undone by Shiro's time vent reset after Yui died yet again
