I mean in this case it's literally just slightly changing the helmet and making the details harder to see. A repaint can still give a form of identity, Gold Drive may have been so low budget that they couldn't even get actual shoes but the different colour was rather intimidating. The intimidating factor of Hazard isn't only seemingly lost as seen by MetalBuild's body language in the one picture, but the dull eyes are less interesting to look at while also removing some of the "This is an unfinished prototype" aspects imo. It looks more finished but the Hazard suit isn't supposed to look finished. If they gave it a more grey colour scheme instead of the same black I wouldn't criticize it as much
