[Shin Henshin]

Got my set. Stickered everything. Didn't bother with the hands yet, just wanted to try the set's combinations and functionality.

Now I will give GSC the benefit of the doubt in some aspects. They've never done a set like this before, so it not being perfect I partially (ONLY PARTIALLY) understand. The engineering on some aspects of the set are really interesting and work well when in use. The assist weapons all look good (Once actually detailed) and the solo combo modes, Max and Sky Gridman mainly, do look good and can hold poses. Also the box is gorgeous.

That all said this set is a massive, massive disappointment. Gridman's base figure isn't well-articulated which I assume is mainly to keep stability in other forms from being compromised but there are ways around that nowadays. Full Powered Gridman feels shaky and the instructions for it are laid out in a way that literally expects you to cram things into tighter and tighter spaces the more you add onto it. Some connections don't feel secure in the slightest, Sky Gridman's combination being the weakest in terms of feeling stable despite looking fairly impressive. Some of the sticker spots are ridiculous, such as having to sticker every panel on the inside of Buster Bor's drills which add up to 24 stickers alone.

Like this set should have been at the very least 30 to 40 dollars cheaper than it is. This doesn't feel like something I paid premium prices for, which after all the really good promotional pictures and the wait it took to actually get it, is the biggest insult.
