One thing I really loved about this - even as someone who likes seeing older live-action sets like that and who respects that sort of thing; thank you Doctor Who background - is that it is just completely all classic sets; all classic suits; all classic characters... and then with Momotaros and New Den-O thrown in. It works just so perfectly in ways and reasons that I just cannot fathom. Maybe it's the basic idea of having characters from much further along in the legacy team up; maybe it's the juxtaposition; maybe it's just the goddamn Momo effect. It's also bizarre and wonderful that Rider 1 and 2 just do not question that there's this weird demon dude hanging out with some flashy blue guy with weird angular eyes and a dude sword; they just go along with it and run off together to trash some kaijin. It really is just like a 1971 (well, 1972) Kamen Rider episode but with these two other bastards from the future thrown in casually with no explanation, and it's just so out there that I love it. I wanna see Momotaros beating up more Shocker Kaijin, please


Also, I must say; even though it all works out perfectly and everyone and everything feels on-point and accurate to their series? I find it weird that for a movie from OOO, written by Kobayashi; featuring a team-up with Den-O, Kobayashi's most fan-favourite work; the movie is written by... the Kabuto guy. It's still a good friggin' movie at the end of the day so I'm fine with it, just kind of funny to me
