Although it’s different in a way, Taro always wanted to be like his father but Taiga wants to be seen as an individual, yet they still face the same issues.

I guess it's more because Taro had more feats than Father that was shown to us. All we know about Father is that he is the leader of Space Garrison, while Taiga himself stated that Taro is Father & Mother's chikdren, a part of 6 Ultra brothers and an instructor.

Mostly because the fact that Taro is as legendary as his dad, it puts pressure to Taiga because he needs to live up to the family name.
