That's exactly how you end up with KR shows with characters like Time Jackers in Zi-O, which are still at 1% development by episode 45

If you really want to do something along these lines, you can still do it with the main characters more included like Sentai do sometimes, like making it related to some character's past or anything (I can't believe I want KR to take things from Sentai now ^^"). It would at least tell us more about their background, even if silly.

I personally think that filler episodes with victims of the week are probably the most interesting part of a series. They deliver small, condense stories that at the best of times tell you something about your main characters in how they interact with them and give you a reason to be excited for the next week if it is a two-parter.

I want to see a series that is just as entertaining in the short term as in the long term, W, OOO and Fourze all nail that and ZI-O in my opinion as well. I just really hope the Magia are not as forgettable and lame as they appear now, but that was a problem Ex-Aid had as well.
