I get that, it's a great moment and it helps develop the relationship between Aruto and Fuwa. It's a statement from Aruto to prove that he will not keep secrets, and actions speak louder than words. It's just, that kind of big moment needs a little more build-up behind it. The secret identity plot-point lasted less than two episodes. So it just feels a little meaningless though I definitely understand the intent.

I don't think the memory card was destroyed because they were able to present the video footage to the news afterwards.
