I get what you’re saying.

In a show like Super Sentai, people are always getting trapped in evil, dangerous pocket dimensions, and they always get free somehow. Nada sacrificing himself so quickly, for stakes we’ve seen beaten like hundreds of times before — multiple times in this very series — did feel a little insane. They needed to build up the new Druidon’s danger levels, and have the team literally on the verge of dying after a prolonged hardcore battle, in order for a sacrifice like that to feel earned. So on that level, it’s definitely flawed.

But... I still liked it. I like how Nada dying actually made the power up feel like it meant something. I liked that they swung for the fences. It was a bold choice, in a show that makes a lot of bold choices... that maybe don’t always feel earned.
