This goes like you expected and not like you expected!

Evox finally get his "Messiah Cell" body and Blaze gets "Megazord Epsilon" (Go-Busters names used here for convenience), and while Evox becomes the first villain of the season to use Morph-X to enlarge, the usable fight footage from the relevant Go-Busters episode doesn't get used like you would naturally assume it would!

The Beast-X Ultrazord, after months of clogging Walmart shelves, finally appears on-screen, destroys a bunch of Gigadrones....and gets blasted by a human-sized Evox before disassembling into a junk pile (save for the Racer Zord) in one of the most inauspicious introductions of an Ultrazord in the entire franchise!

Since they use the "Dark Buster" body for Blaze, he gets a new cockpit for his personal Zord and it feels remarkably appropriate for the few minutes it's on screen.

The Mayor and Devon have a heart-to-heart, and Betty gains stretchy powers after being exposed to the Cybergate's "Vortex Plasma", while the Mayor is left with a glowing hand! Whether this is set-up for the Christmas Special or set-up for Season 2 is unclear.

Ultimately, it did what it set out to do and try to bookend the season.
