They work as intended, Thouser uses Progrise Keys to channel their abilities, he doesn't transform with them. As if he wasn’t so similar to Grease already, his belt basically does the same thing the Sclash Driver did with Fullbottles.

Yup, and that's probably why it doesn't have any. Still think it would’ve been cool, but it is understandable from a design/manufacturer-kinda perspective.

Different species. Amazing Hercules is a Hercules Beetle which has two horns, Amazing Caucasus is a Caucasus beetle, which has three.

But yes, both having the "Amazing" title is a bit confusing, although once you realize they're different beetles it feels deliberate, like they are from the same family so both are equally amazing
