So, funny thing: it's not actually Faiz. Overall I didn't like it, but I don't hate it and there's still things about it I enjoy (Auto-Vajin is still the best Rider)

Hell yeah! Even looking past it being my first (though that still kiiiiinda factors into why I rank it so high), I have a lot of respect for what Fourze did -- while it's not like W and OOO didn't set the stage in this respect, Fourze was really what pushed modern Rider forward into being a lot more bright and colourful and just fun overall. Even taking Den-O into account and how a lot of these shows like Agito and Decade are actually fun underneath their grungy appearance, Fourze went just all-in on this and really set us up for Drive and Ex-Aid and Wizard. Heck, Gaim probably would have been a thousand more depressing if it hadn't come after Gentarou loving his friends 24/7.

And likewise, Fourze kind of set the stage for me as well. I'd marathoned a lot of Sentai seasons beforehand (Gokaiger through Kyuranger) but I really found that Rider's way of doing things just absolutely got me.
