I must have tried it as a kid, but tossed it aside because I had no clue what was going on. As a teen I got word of some legendary game that was supposed to be among the best ever made. I bought the Steam version in a sale ages ago, never touched it. Then the remake is announced a couple of years back and I’m like "Whatever". But for some reason I was thinking "Just try it" 2 weeks ago and I did. I couldn’t stop playing. Right after the Bombing Run it clicked, I was addicted to this game. Yeah, it really is as good as most people say.

When the end credits were rolling I had my original copy sitting on the desk next to me, it felt really good to finally finish it.

Yep, we all heard that Final Fantasy VII is overrated. But playing it, it really is good. Even the well-known spoiler moment is still shocking to experience it.

Oddly enough despite not growing up with the game, playing it felt really nostalgic.
