I'm pretty excited for a modern Thunder Gridman of a decent size. Here he is compared to the DX SSSS, Gridman he looks about an inch taller probably putting him around 9 inches tall. This is under the Hagane Works banner which means it's got some diecast content and is a finished product unlike the DX SSSS Gridman which was 80% toy 20% model kit.
While, I don't fully trust GSC with combiner toy engineering yet, the team who worked on the previous Hagane Works Demonbane did an excellent job on that toy and the Mazinkaiser they are releasing up for preorder soon is a downscaled version of the well-done Sentinel toy. Pricing for the Hangane Works has also been fair compared to their previous Max Gokin mecha line which was all sorts of crazy. In fact, the max gokin Dragonar released 7 years ago was like 95% plastic 8 inches and retailed for about $300 US. Overall, I have some faith Thunder Gridman will come out much better than their DX SSSS Gridman and I'll be following their twitter account to see the development of this guy.
