So after binging the final arc. I can say the show ended well and most importantly, it made me not hate the series as a whole. It is a very good finale arc. The biggest highlight has got to be the fact that the Red Ranger sits out the final fight, maybe they finally realized that Super Sentai isn't 'Red Ranger and his Cheerleaders'?

Either way, I am glad. Sure you could argue that Koh is responsible for Eras' defeat. But the the most important part is that, Koh doesn't hog the spotlight all to himself. This is one of the few strenghs of Ryusoulger: Despite them still trying to focus on Red Ranger as much as possible, there is a strong emphasis on the Ryusoulgers as a team, which is what Sentai should always be.

Does this mean that Ryusoulger is a great series? Well I wouldn't really say so. The series' biggest sin is that it's painfully safe, which makes sense because them rehashing dinosaurs again shows that they are playing it safe. But that's not the whole problem. Despite getting a fresh new writer, hoping to replicate the success that Kamen Rider did, RyuSoul's weakest aspect is the writing. When it's good, it's amazing. But most of the time, it's mediocre. But the good thing is, it's not painfully bad, even if there are glaring problems such as the how the Masters seem pointless except Master Black, and how Nada was killed quickly before he even got a chance to truly shine as the 7th Ryusoulger. Or hell, even Ryusoul Brown being a 1 time exclusive.

Despite the flaws, I can safely say I enjoyed Ryusoulger. It may not be the best, but after years of bitching about Sentai's quality, it's refreshing to have one where I didn't hate. Here's hoping the Power Rangers adaptation is able to do the suits and designs even more justice, but if Beast Morphers is the status quo, I wouldn't hold my breath. Or rather, Power Rangers TV show will be dead to me.
