I mean, me mentioning the most bonkers, memorable part of Ejima's appearance, that's by design! What, I'm going to not be into someone terrifying a monster into submission with a trading card? Hell yes I'm going to be into that. It's just, it's in service of a guy who the show didn't really put any work into. No one active in the cast knew anything about him other than he took a photo with Secret Science Club, and he doesn't do more than make Yui feel bad about a thing she already felt bad about. His gimmick is great, but his death didn't really make me feel anything.
