Wait... I'm not the only one who liked that ending!? Like, I know the second-to-last episode had Phillip's big sacrifice which was a really powerful moment, and I would've been happy with that as the ending too (if by "happy" you mean "crying"), but there's just something so satisfying about seeing the Two-In-One Detectives reunited after a time skip, and the certainty that as long as evil threatens Fuuto, Kamen Rider W will be there to protect it.
Plus it sets up the Fuuto Detectives manga, which I honestly adore (despite it being really hard to find good English scanlations).

Also, shoutout to Drive's ending for doing the whole "cameo of the next season's collectibles and/or Rider" bit in a way that was actually good. Seeing Shinnosuke go up against a completely different threat than what he was used to facing, without even having his Drive equipment, really hammers home that it's not the suit or powers that make someone a Kamen Rider, it's the spirit.
