"Regret" might be a strong word for the way I see it? I used the wording "just enough humanity" for a reason. I think Shirou is far too broken to have proper, conscious thoughts about anything not relating directly to Yui. Even that final decision is largely pushed by the usual binary "Yui happy=good", "Yui not happy=bad" logic he applies to everything. The only difference being he stops trying to decide for Yui what makes her happy.

But I'd like to think, somewhere deep down, he did realize, at least a little, how much he f***ed up beyond that. And even if he didn't, all the people Shirou made unhappy was one of the things making Yui unhappy, so it'd still fit in there somewhere.
