I think it's awesome how Sakuragi's favorite season is Faiz and he used Kusaka as inspiration for Gai. Considering how badly Gai's plans have fallen apart though, he's definitely not as effective. However, he succeeded in making me hate him more than Kusaka, which is a compliment to Sakuragi. At least Kusaka was an antihero fighting on the side of justice whereas Gai is a villain trying to get rich from war profiteering, discrimination and brainwashing. He doesn't have any redeeming qualities so far.

I used to think Thouzer was lame since his suit and arsenal look so cheap and I still do but I also think that's a perfect reflection of Gai. He's so deluded about his own infallibility that he refuses to improve or learn from any of mistakes even though he's been beaten up 5 times in 6 episodes. He has stagnated and cannot understand why the other Riders are so much better than him now, even Horobi who still uses his default form. As the president of ZAIA Japan and Hiden Intelligence, he's clearly a very intelligent person. What he lacks is wisdom to utilize it more effectively. His losing streak is pretty pathetic and embarrassing and it won't get any better for him until he acknowledges the necessity for change.

The character I hate most though, not even in a love to hate way, just hate, is Mitsuzane. I cannot forgive him.
