The more I expose myself to Ultraman and Kamen Rider as opposed to years of Sentai, the more I am finding myself asking a question: do some tokusatsu use a classic monster or villain a little too much?

It's probably not a new question, so don't credit me for originality.

When Kamen Rider reuses a classic, the kaijin will probably return in a movie and probably be defeated in a group or by a group.

If Sentai bothers to reuse a classic, the villain will probably return in a movie and likely get a more modernized form and be defeated by a new movie-exclusive team attack or Mecha combination!

When Ultraman reuses a classic, it'll be two minutes after they have already used at least two separate classics within the same series!

Where do you stand with older monsters? Are some over-used? Should a franchise take a break with the classics? Should classics get new forms or not? Are there some classic monsters you would like to see more of?
