They could approach older footage and the need for newer footage several different ways:

- Newer footage seems to be the preferred choice these days. No avoiding that one and it definitely offers the opportunity for original storytelling.

- International spoilers for Beast Morphers Season 2 offer an interesting answer. A similar method would suffice for backstory.

- Almost all Heisei Riders have a movie or feature-length special which is formatted correctly and more easily touched-up to HD if needed. Older footage should be predicated on a movie first, not the series.

- By the time one gets to Kabuto or Den-O, if either were to get chosen, then start looking at the series to determine if any of it can be used. The likelihood of any series footage being used at large prior to Decade is unlikely, but should be explored if only to rule it out.

- Modern movie crossovers tend to showcase Riders from across the years and such footage isn't so old that it couldn't be selectively used.

- Specials with Sentai should be looked at heavily! While older fans who are aware of the Riders would be interested in an adaptation from the get-go to see if it works or not, children at large may not have the same familiarity. Since Sentai has become largely ubiquitous thanks to Power Rangers, any adaptation should be in Hasbro's court so that they can set the Riders within the Ranger Multiverse! However, a Ranger would not have to be appear constantly. It could be the same as "Fourze" visiting KO-35 and fighting Vivix. The door for this one was already left open, both when Sledge name-dropped Planet Kamen-5 in Dino Supercharge and when Shocker Buruburu from the Ninninger VS. Drive Summer Special had a cameo in Super Ninja Steel as one of Sledge's Prison Ship Monsters.
