He's never really tempted by power, or lament his past, or make it a part of how he relates to other characters... hell, I don't think it's brought up even once after it's first stated! Even in the Belial fight!

It's a fine idea but one that they just didn't do anything with.

It only really functions as a tool to explain why Zero was kept at a remote planet and trained relentlessly by Leo and Astra.
