The guy wants to explore the idea of monkeys ruling the Earth for a second and everyone immediately shuts him down like "Why would you even say something so completely ridiculous and absurd? Please stop interrupting Karasuma's incredibly serious story about the magical ancient trading cards that control the course of human evolution."

Sure, Kotarou can't read the room, but sometimes it seems like nobody else can read what kind of a show they're in.
