One of the most satisfying climaxes to an arc across any Kamen Rider season I've seen.
I also agree strongly with all this, the scene of Tachibana destroying the tank is a great moment and such a strong declaration from him as a character that he's finally, truly overcome his fears. Fantastic stuff. This episode overall is definitely one of my favorites in the show as well, and it was at this point that I was totally sold on Blade. I liked it from the start, but this episode was the one that fully solidified it for me and that I can still remember vividly even years after first watching it.
Episode 15 just has a great Finale feel to it, where everything we've gone through with Tachibana gets addressed and processed. If Tachibana hadn't shown up in Episode 16, if Kenzaki was like He Decided To Become A High School Principal and we never saw him again on Blade, I'd feel like the show told his story well. It wouldn't feel to me like there was a ton left on the table. That said, it's interesting to see, in just one episode, how the show is finding some new Post-Rampant-Insanity stories to tell with Tachibana. He's basically a giant dork? Like, even in his flashbacks he's awkward and uncharismatic?
It reminds me a bit of Gentoku's story as Rogue in Build, where the show spent forever with him as varying levels of bonkers, and then when that part of the story was over
and he was still around
, they just wrote him as a complete weirdo.
