That's another thing that's been pretty fun about Black! I don't wanna go all Riders These Days on anything (I mean, hell, I think I make it clear enough how much I love OOO and Build), but it's very nice how like... when modern Rider tends to have problems arise from things like "oh this Progrise Key isn't Powerful enough I need the one with the Bigger Power", it's just nice to see Kotaro actually working out what to do? Not that he doesn't pull out a random new power every 5 episodes or anything, but it is nice to see a Kamen Rider actually take into account things like location and speed and physical elements in a way that feels very real.


Though, uh, sometimes that can go to the opposite extreme, too. I guess this is so much a Kamen Rider reboot that Kotaro is also a 600 IQ genius!
