I agree with the above comment. Shiguru didn’t grab me when they first revealed Kiramager because he seemed like a rehash of the same character Arakawa’s been writing in the blue suit since Abaranger (ie. a self-serious character with not much more than a basic backstory). In general, I’m not keen on the concept of serious blues, especially since the most character they ever seem to show is “speaks broken English”. Yakumo was probably the only example I really had any affection for, because they at least tried to squeeze some comedy out of his thinking he’s an Englishman. But Shiguru quickly showed that there’s actually something distinct about him in his first episode and this one, where Atom is allowed to let rip with his comedic side, really cemented him as my favourite (especially since I’m losing love for Juru and Sayo’s turned out to be the one “out of focus” character this year). It helps that his song in the contest is lie, Gou’s during Gekiranger’s own contest: the best of the bunch.

TL:dr. I liked this episode better than the last two, but I have one gripe, which I’m not sure is a mistranslation or an informed ability. They said that Gomoryu was bigger than the Shellgas, Liganys and Basras they’ve fought before, but in the robot fight, it seem to be the same size as them.
