I honestly wouldn't be against the story shifting Asumu into wanting to be an Oni if it was set up well. (I mean, that's what the story was feinting towards in the first dozen episodes, before it went a different direction.) What's here just treats Asumu's motivation as a foregone conclusion, and I don't get it? Am I watching this one, like, 10 episodes too early? There was no release date on the Wiki, and it's clearly after Armed Saber shows up, so it feels like the right time to watch it? But the Asumu in this short feels completely wrong.
