Oh, totally -- like the thing is, I feel there is a strong story in here. I like the idea of deciding that you're not a superhero and being able to walk away from that, and that's something I will praise the second half of Hibiki for. In a vaccum, it's a strong story.

But it's also about the only two women in the show who are Oni in any sense. And much as the show doesn't exactly gender it, it's impossible in my eyes for it to not be; and this is something that isn't out of place with Inoue's work. (or Drive; it bugged the hell out of me there too)
