If people talk about Eiji and Ankh at the expense of Gotou, then that's a huge shame, because he's just as big a key to what makes OOO what it is as anybody else, especially when you consider how much of a recurring archetype Heisei Rider had made out of prideful guys with chips on their shoulders who disapprove of the main protagonist's beliefs and/or methods, and then consider the directions that OOO chooses to take Gotou in compared to them.

...but there'll be plenty of time to talk about that later, so I'll try and restrain myself from raving anymore about him quite yet. I'd say I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts on some of those plot developments, but then, I could say that about any random thing in OOO, couldn't I?

Takeru can definitely be a bit naive in his advice at times, but oh man, the Magic Hugs. To this day, one of my absolute favorite things in one of my absolute favorite shows. Ghost places an unreal amount of emphasis on the value of empathy throughout; it's what I feel makes Takeru truly unique, and there are few things that depict it more bluntly than these moments where he simply embraces someone and sheds a tear for their pain. I don't know if it was Fukuda or whoever that came up with the concept and decided to make it a recurring thing, but Ghost as a whole is so much better off for it.

also who is Sawa??? that was clearly Arisa duh
