I’m not sure how accurate that is. It really reads like a film where he was working from the show bible and had little knowledge of what the characters were actually like or how the story was really playing out. OOO is a show where it feels like a lot of the original plans were thrown out, though. I remember watching it live and getting a lot of regular rumors that ended up being completely false, especially in regards to Date and the use of homunculuses like the version of Nobunaga that showed up in Core. I’ve always assumed that part of the change was Hiroaki Iwanaga being such a surprise delight that they kept him around a lot longer than initially planned.
