Even from his first story, there's an earnestness to his failures. He firmly believes I Am Killing This, and he thinks he's being humble as he kills it.

Tendou's look is the thing that really sells me on that shot. There's a line he has before that shot, where Gon's like I'll Pitch In and Tendou says, "I won't be responsible for what happens." Gon has to volunteer to help Tsurugi because Tsurugi just worked his valet nearly to death. Tendou does not feel great about leaving Gon in that house!

Daisuke's first period on the show ended right before Sasword showed up, so it felt like we were seeing characters from two different eras of Kabuto interacting with each other. Having people say that Daisuke's availability wasn't great, and then seeing Gon in scenes with Tsurugi and Jiiya... yeah, that setup works for me. I can see her running that household in some very fun ways.

I am so glad I didn't know she came back! It made that previous story hit harder, and it let me appreciate the intervening time without being all When Are We Going To Get To The Gon Factory. This was a very pleasant surprise!
