That's what's so impressive to me about this episode: it's actually pretty normal and straightforward? It's still a show about Worms infiltrating human society to cause chaos; it's still a show where Tendou fights to protect the ability of others to excel; it's still a show where Tendou has an adversary who's Him But More. The details of the conflict are memorably bizarre (it's an episode where a magic cooking knife is entrusted to Tendou and Kagami Outrageous hosts a cooking cage match, after all), but the themes and structure are 100% Kabuto. It's not an episode that sacrifices coherency or relevancy for the sake of jokes.
