To me, what makes the second half so impressive is how much more prioritized the character development had become over the action scenes. Not only that, but the style and tone does a pretty noticeable shift(into turbo) once Lynn took over. It can even be seen in the Morphing Sequence, which is now smoother, quicker, and silent, compared to the version the previous cast had. Though I will always have a soft spot for those callouts. "Lightning Blaster Turbo Power!"

As for TJ during In Space, well, I do think it narratively overall made sense for him to be Blue, and according to Selwyn Ward, TJ's' actor, the writing staff told him that while Andros was the main character, they were doing their best to still portray TJ as the overall leader. Whether or not they actually succeeded in that is of course up to the viewer(I have mixed feelings on it).

I mean, Divatox is pretty simple-minded, so just calling it the Cat Zord is something I feel she'd totally do, haha.
