We don't know a lot about every Ultra and how they got to be who they are.

What if this is a "parallel isetope" of Seven himself!?

The shadowy figure had Seven's eyes, but I don't recall seeing an Eye Slugger! I'm not saying that it wasn't there, I just don't remember it being atop the shadowy head.

Running with this theory, I'm thinking that maybe Seven was so hard on Zero in years past cause there was a time that Seven himself nearly made a mistake. A time before Seven got his Slugger and made the journey to Earth. It's obvious that Absolute Tartarus is more than willing to pull alternates from throughout the timeline, but organizing a bunch of villains who do nothing but lose can't be the endgame! There's got to be something BIG in mind here, and a twisted Seven fits the bill. Consider how the first half of the Conspiracy involved Ribut saving Max. What if that same trick worked on a younger and more psychologically susceptible Seven?
