This was okay, but it was also every cliche that I had felt confident Kiramager was either not going to do or put some spin on, since this show looked like it was so consistently setting up 'typical' conclusions and then subverting them. At least, I really can't see the last episode going any way other than the hundred-thousandth iteration of 'the heroes make the nebulously evil overlord explode'. I was really looking forward to Garza completely stealing the show and the Emperor just having been a complete bait-and-switch!

But what is here is just fine. It's just fine. I've been waiting a long time for Garza and Juuru's rivalry to come back into the spotlight. I was almost afraid it had simply faded away entirely when the latter half of the show put much more emphasis on Garza's dynamic with the King and Takamichi (not to say those weren't necessary in fleshing them all out), but I'm glad that at the end, its KiramaRed who 'defeats' him, even if I'm maybe just a little underwhelmed by how neatly and quickly it happens.
